Nayak acquires Altitude Paint Services

Effective July 3rd, 2025, Altitude Paint Services will officially become part of the Nayak Group. “This step allows us to meet the growing demand from our customers for aircraft painting; a service we’ve been asked to offer many times,” says Marco Smit, CEO of Nayak Aircraft Services. “By integrating painting into our portfolio, we are making a meaningful investment in the quality and scope of our services and taking the next step in responding to customer demand for complete, end-to-end maintenance services.”
With this acquisition, Nayak gains a fully state-of-the-art operational 1 bay painting hangar in Münster, while adding the new facility in Paderborn to add two more bays, increasing total painting capacity to three bays. These sites will allow Nayak to offer more flexible scheduling, reduced turnaround times, and enhanced quality standards for paint projects.
“This investment isn’t just about adding capacity, it’s about making a difference for our customers,” adds Smit. “By offering painting services under the Nayak umbrella, we’re creating a more integrated and responsive MRO solution across Europe.”
The new entity will be led by the current APS management team. Steven Yakub will remain as Managing Director, along with Nayak’s DACH Management team, led by Jörg Sauerland, who will also be part of the painting entity as Managing Director in the good Nayak spirit of two managing directors per entity. “The APS team perfectly aligns with the Nayak culture and strategy, ensuring a seamless integration and continued excellence in service to our customers,” says Sauerland. Yakub adds, “I am thrilled about this team-up, enabling our customers to benefit from the full service of an independent MRO with paint shop.”
This move represents a key milestone in Nayak’s expansion strategy; aimed at offering more complete and integrated solutions to airlines and operators across Europe, with a continued focus on proximity, flexibility, and operational excellence.
